MAJOR INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC OIL AND GAS EXPLORATION AND PRODUCTION COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR A SENIOR GEOPHYSICIST FOR THEIR TECHNOLOGY GROUP.
Provide technical recommendations on geophysical issues to business units for their recommendations. Assure quality of geophysical work across Exploration, Production and Development Divisions. Ensure geophysical work is carried out efficiently and delivers products aligned with required technical standards and metrics. Ensure consistency of Geoscience peer review process and document and report the results. Participate in setting of performance and competency of Geoscience staff. Coordination of training and development of technical staff together with other Senior staff. Identify and understand trends and factors impacting emerging geophysical technology.
QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree in Geophysics or Geoscience field. 20+years experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Exposure to multiple plays internationally and domestic seismic interpret including Deepwater. A track record of project work in Exploration, Development and Production including regional evaluation, prospect generation and risking. Strong technical competence in AVO modeling, Inversion analysis, rock properties and Physics.
