Great opportunity for an experienced Operations Engineer for a leading world class E & P company in Southern California. My client will offer an excellent total compensation package and full benefits which includes full relocation.

As a key member of the reservoir management team, you will use your experience and skills to enhance

asset value through the optimization of individual well performance, participation in RMT collaboration

activities, generation of capital/expense workover AFE’s and new well completions, optimization of artificial lift/stimulation

practices, and provide operations engineering support for secondary recovery performance.

You must have specialized experience in ESP operations.

You will contribute to the field operations staff in the design, analysis and optimization of

the entire ESP lift system.

To qualify for this opportunity you must have a minimum of a BS degree in Engineer

(advanced degree preferred), at least five (5) years of production and operations engineering experience.

Full knowledge in all areas of drilling, reservoir and production operations and the ability to design,

diagnose, measure and control the operation of ESP lift systems.

Previous experience with management and administration as well as the design and

Sr. Advisor Production Ops Engineer

Our client, a leading Global Energy Organization, is seeking to add an experienced Senior Advisor role in the area of Production Operations.

In this high visibility position, you will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Work with a team of reservoir engineers, facility engineers, drilling engineers and other technical experts to optimize producing reservoirs, including designing, implementing, and post-appraising cost effective and economically successful workover and completion programs
  • Performing economic evaluations of oilfield operations including risk analysis; identifying anomalies in production and injection
  • Conducting periodic reviews with field operations and engineering personnel to optimize individual well performance, artificial lift surveillance
  • Monitoring operations and equipment & systems performance & safety
  • Providing engineering expertise on wells and infrastructure
  • Providing technical expertise to business units
  • Providing production engineering support to acquisition and business development activities and undertaking peer reviews, troubleshooting, training, framing, special projects, consulting, business development projects, and new technologies.

 

To be considered for this position you must have the following required qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years production and operations engineering experience.
  • Proficient in all aspects of drilling, reservoir and producing operations.
  • Capacity to diagnose, measure, improve, and control the operation of an artificial lift systems including rod pump, gas lift, PCP and ESP’s.
  • Ability to identify, develop, and execute profitable workover/completions projects.

 

Additionally the following are highly desired:
  • Experience with artificial lift surveillance: Lowis / WSM.
  • Frac / Perforations techniques.
  • Formation Stimulations.

Our client a leading E + P production company is seeking an experienced Director level role to assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of a major Gas Mechanical Integrity (MI) program.  In the key management role, you will aassist in the development, implementation and maintenance of a major Gas Mechanical Integrity (MI) program.  Ensure that the developed MI procedures, processes, systems and practices provide continued integrity of the business unit facilities for their required operational life.  Act as discipline expert and consultant to State business units in respect to MI requirements including day to day production operations, inspection, testing and remediation techniques, technology identification, best practices sharing, failure and root cause analysis.   Participate and contribute as an MI expert in Peer Assists, Reviews and Audits.

 
 
Required Qualifications:
• Position requires a high degree of competency in people skills and listening skills, both of which are aimed at getting the best performance out of the team.
• Technical knowledge of multi-engineering disciplines to ensure overall MI knowledge
• Track record of identifying new technologies and innovative techniques
• Degree in Engineering discipline with minimum 15 years’ experience and with minimum 10 years’ experience in the Mechanical Integrity and in-service inspection of operational facilities covering plant, field equipment and pipeline gathering systems, (with direct experience in MI management of numerous widespread field satellites, tank batteries and associated non-regulated pipelines.)
• A thorough knowledge of Federal, State and code requirements, in-service Mechanical Integrity methods and techniques.

Senior Geologist Jobs Southern California

Our client, a major oil and gas firm is seeking a Senior Geologist for their California office.  Located just minutes from the beautiful beaches of Southern California, south of Los Angeles, this position is accountable for supporting the ongoing development and reservoir description efforts one of their key fields.  You will maintain and improve the geologic understanding of the field, identify additional reserves, and improve recovery from a challenging reservoir.   Your essential duties will  include geological mapping, reservoir description, identification of development drilling and workover/recompletion opportunities, wellsite geo-steering support, and reserve determinations.  This key position will give you the opportunity to proactively participate in reservoir study and simulation teams, and annual reserves reviews.  Excellent communications skills both verbal and written are required.

 

 

To qualify for this great opportunity, you must possess at a minimum: *  Bachelor’s of Science degree in Geology required, Master’s degree in Geology highly preferred.

*  At least eight (8) or more years of experience in oil and gas field exploitation with a proven track record of  identifying development opportunities and bypassed oil in a mature waterflood.

*  Experience in reservoir characterization and flow unit modeling of a challenging reservoir.


*  Strong workstation skills with experience in Landmark products (Openworks, Stratworks, Zmap, Seisworks, etc.) and Petrel or similar 3D geologic modeling software.

*  Working knowledge of petrophysics and open-hole log interpretation.

Key duties and responsibilities include the following:Work with geologists, reservoir engineers and landmen to develop new drilling opportunities and a strategic exploration/exploitation business plan to capture these opportunities and add value. Identify plays and prospects; evaluate and create a risked inventory of exploration and exploitation prospects within California.

Screen, evaluate and recommend participation in externally generated opportunities that complement the Company’s exploration focus.

 

To be qualified for this position you must possess the following required qualifications:
  • BS degree in Geology or related field
  • Ten or more years of industry experience
  • Proven track record of generating prospects and discovering hydrocarbons
  • Advanced skills in 2D and 3D seismic interpretation including inversion and attribute mapping
  • Ability to integrate 2D and 3D seismic interpretation with geologic data into a comprehensive evaluation of prospects
  • Ability to evaluate technical risks relating to trap, reservoir, charge and seal, and combine them with economic and engineering data to develop a comprehensive business picture for decision making
  • Experienced in reserve estimation and evaluation of prospect economics
  • Familiarity with data acquisition, acquisition project planning, QC and processing
  • Ability to communicate information and evaluations in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in written format
  • Ability to contribute effectively and creatively as an individual and as a member of multidisciplinary teams
  • Time management skills to personally plan work and execute large studies, work multiple projects and meet goals within time constraints
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word
