SENIOR ADVISOR RESERVOIR ENGINEERING EOR

As one of the leading experts in EOR, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Serve as Company’s waterflooding champion, leading its community of practice
  • Provide technical leadership to waterflood team
  • Share best practices on waterflooding design, implementation, reservoir surveillance, reservoir management, remediation and performance prediction
  • Lead multi-functional teams in framing, planning, and conducting waterflood design or performance review studies
  • Provide general reservoir engineering services on waterflooding in support of business units
  • Coordinate collection of analog data on waterflooding and share data with business units
  • Develop and deliver training classes to the Company’s reservoir engineering community
  • Participate in or lead peer reviews of business unit projects/assets
  • Represent Company in JIP’s
Ideal Candidates will possess the following required qualifications:
  • B.S. or higher in Petroleum Engineering
  • At least 15 years experience in reservoir engineering with emphasis on waterflood management
  • Extensive experience managing waterfloods in clastics and carbonate rocks
  • Strong level knowledge of at least one reservoir surveillance tool
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong business and customer focus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good team player

FACILITIES ENGINEER

HOUSTON, TEXAS

Great opportunity to join a world leader in the Energy Industry at their Houston offices.  Our client is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer for their West Texas/New Mexico operations.

Your key responsibilites will include the designing, maintaining and optimizing upstream onshore West Texas/New Mexico surface facilities and production operations. The fields include primary production, waterflood fields and an expanding number of CO2 flooded fields; total Business Unit production is in the range of 200 MBOPD, 2 MMBWPD and 1.5 BCF/D of CO2 injection. Activities include working with subsurface/wells teams to design and install new facilities needed to address changing production rates; covering all aspects of project management from scope development, detailed design/estimating and project controls. Scope also includes working with Operations/Construction field personnel to troubleshoot operating issues, develop/implement solutions in order to optimize field activities and ensure mechanical integrity of equipment is maintained. There is a strong focus on Health, Environmental and Safety issues, which cover H2S handling, HAZOP type safety reviews, Management of Change (MOC’s) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR). This role also interfaces with the Specialty Engineering group, and has responsibility to assist engineers in this group when it comes to tings like Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
Required Qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil or Electrical Engineering
  • 2 years minimum upstream E&P experience (prefer 4+ years)
  • Some industry training in upstream E&P areas is desired
  • Exposure to project management practices and field operations
  • Ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • A self-starter at least on the verge of being able to work with minimal oversight
  • Ability to multi-task, and a willingness to quickly change work assignments
  • Willingness to travel 10-15%, most can be relatively short planned trips but on occasion they might be required on short notice or might be 1-2 weeks in duration
  • Proficient PC skills for Microsoft products
  • Permian Basin waterflood and/or CO2 experience a benefit

Outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer with advanced compositional simulation and enhanced oil recovery expertise.  My client is seeking candidate who have a demonstrated record of successfully completing a significant number of practical reservoir studies involving reservoir description, fluid and rock property generation and compositional simulation.  Candidate must have recent experience in developing equations of state and associated lab procedures for generating fluid property data employed in equation of state tuning. Ideal candidate will also be familiar reservoir description technology employing geostatistical methodology and be able to coordinate and direct integrated reservoir description projects.

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting and directing integrated reservoir studies employing compositional simulation to assist in the design and management of the company’s CO2 floods. Coordinating and directing fluid and rock property acquisition programs. Coordinating and directing integrated reservoir description programs employing advanced geostatistical procedures designed to provide the geologic model employed in the simulation models. Good communication skills are required to interface with geoscience and engineering staff responsible for our many existing and pending the CO2 flood implementations and management.

Reservoir engineers with a Masters or PHD in engineering with 20+ years of major oil company experience are preferred.
