Unique opportunity to join a Global Energy Firm in their Houston Office.

Your primary job duties directly involve support of drilling activities, reservoir studies, and well performance evaluations with the ultimate goal of optimizing operations and recovery.  The successful candidate will be involved in the design, implementation and evaluation of logging programs on newly drilled wells.  In addition, this position will re-assess  existing data to validate prior petrophysical assumptions and look for bypassed reserves.
Required Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Geoscience or Engineering
  • 5 or more years Petrophysical Engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of leading industry standard petrophysical software packages (IP, Powerlog, Recall, Openworks, Emraude, PST etc)
  • Working knowledge of logging operations required for difficult logging conditions (HPHT)
  • Familiarity with advanced methods of core retrieval handling and competent in the design of conventional and special core analysis programs.
  • Possess effective technical presentation and writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline team environment
Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • Tight Gas Experience, preferably in South Texas OR Shale Oil and Gas Experience, preferably in Williston Basin
  • Familiarity with logging requirements for horizontal well sections, including equipment and risks
  • Working knowledge of fracture mapping

  • Review field performance with regard to recovery and production efficiencies. Diagnose poor sweep efficiency of water flood. Find out solutions of sweep conformance, Evaluate alternative development schemes in operated fields from perspective of recovery and production.
  • Plan and design lab tests such as core flood and slim tube for water shut off and profile control.
  • Responsible for reservoir performance analysis of mature water flood field. Conducted design and process implementation of sweep conformance projects. Successfully developed criteria and simulation methods for BrightWater sweep conformance new technology.

Our Client, a Major Independent Exploration and Production company has an opportunity for a Senior Petrophysicist with strong North American Onshore unconventional reservoirs experience. The Senior Petrophysicist will support prospect evaluation work by providing both qualitative and quantitative analysis of data relevant to formation evaluation and reservoir characterization. This evaluation work will require integration of information derived from a variety of sources including open and cased hole well logs, mud logs, sidewall cores, full cores, RFT / MDT pressure test / fluid samples, mini-fracs, Diagnostic Fracture Injectivity Tests (DFIT), geochem analysis, and the like. Additionally, the role may also perform advanced geomechanics evaluation in order to make predictions related to wellbore stability assessment, formation sanding potential, principal present-day stresses analysis, and mechanical property determination useful in defining barriers to hydraulic fracture growth. Characterization of naturally fractured reservoirs will be an important aspect of the job.

Minimum Requirements:

Viable candidates must have at least an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Geosciences and a minimum of 15 years of relevant formation evaluation experience as a Petrophysicist including significant experience in unconventional resource plays.

Our client, one of the largest Energy Corporations is seeking a talented individual for the position of EHS Supervisor – Environmental Programs.  This position is based in Oklahoma and will report to the Manager – Corporate EHS Compliance.  This Organization is one of the largest producers of natural gas in the nation and maintains a high and active drilling program of new wells in the U.S.  They are focused on discovering, acquiring and developing conventional and unconventional natural gas reserves onshore in the U.S.   The Environmental Supervisor manages and directs the environmental programs for the Operations-Production Division.  This position will assist Operations to maintain compliance with Federal, State and local environmental laws and company polices. This position requires and in-depth knowledge of environmental compliance for Exploration and Production operations including waste management, water resources, environmental remediation/restoration, and SPCC. The Environmental Supervisor must possess the ability to communicate effectively with staff and field personnel as well as senior management.
