Energy Resume Energy CV of Candidate 99112.  Experienced seismic interpreter (Ph.D., P. Geoph.) with a strong geological background and an extensive experience in Oil and Gas Exploration and Production.  Extensive experience in Exploration and Development in various sedimentary basins including; Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin –exploration of reef complexes in Devonian and Mesozoic carbonates, as well as exploration of complex structural traps in thrusting areas of Rocky Mountains (Foothills).   Gulf of Mexico – Pemex Exploration and Development Projects – offshore, exploring sub-salt and sub-shale targets and dealing with problems of seismic image because of variations of velocity model.  Sirte Basin. Experienced in exploration of structural-stratigraphic traps in clastics and carbonates.   Adriatic Basin and Albanides Thrust Belt zone – exploration and development of stratigraphic and structural prospects in carbonates and clastics.

•             Structural and stratigraphic interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data

•             Tie of well and seismic data by using synthetics and VSP

•             Regional basin analysis for identifying, mapping and evaluation

•             Time to depth conversion and mapping

•             Seismic attributes interpretation and analysis

•             Inversion analysis

•             Structural and stratigraphic interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data

•             Exploration in compressional, extensional, or salt tectonic environments.

•             Exploration in all carbonate, clastic and salt-evaporite depositional environment

•             Oil and gas field development

Professional Experience

Senior Geophysicist, Major International Oil Company  April 2009 to present

  • Interpretation of 3D and 2D seismic data in exploration of structural and stratigraphic traps in sandstone and carbonate formation in Sirte basin.

Senior Geophysicist, Calgary,  October 2007 to Jan. 2009

  • Consultant and adviser for the development and exploration projects of Pemex – Mexican National Company in Gulf of Mexico. Structural and stratigraphic traps in Mesozoic (Cretaceous and Jurassic) carbonate deposits, where the shale and salt diapirs have the main role in their models. Experienced in the seismic data imaging, depth conversion and interpretation in the presence of large velocity variations because of shale and salt diapirs.

Senior Geophysicist, Major Service Co, Calgary,   2006 to 2007

  • Structural traps in thrusting areas of the Foothills; Accomplishment: evaluated the company lands, identified more than 50 exploration leads, mapped two prospects and proposed one well which was put in the company drilling program.

Exploration Geophysicist, Independent Exploration, Calgary 2001 to 2006

  • Structural traps in thrusting areas of Rocky Mountains (Foothills) – Paleozoic to Mesozoic: Peace River area, Cabin Creek area, Turner Valley and High Wood area, Bighorn area and Regional Overview of Foothills prospects. Accomplishment: generated 6 lead/prospects and proposed two deep wells.
  • Seismic stratigraphic interpretation for subtle traps of carbonate and clastic facies in Mississippian and Cretaceous –Strachan, Western Canadian Basin.
  • Seismic interpretation of reef complexes in Devonian deposits (Swan Hills and Leduc Reef – Strachan, Western Canadian Basin, Slave Point and Keg River in Clark Lake, Yoyo and Sierra, Cordova, Helmet areas and regional overview of North East BC)
  • Accomplishment: generated some 200 exploration leads in NEBC region and drilled two deep wells.

Exploration Geophysicist, State Major International Oil Co,  1993 to 2000

  • Seismic and geologic data interpretation for exploration in frontiers, for development of existing fields and for evaluation and regional studies).
  • Performed 24 integrated geological – geophysical exploration studies.
  • The study  areas: The Albanian Thrust Belt – onshore, The Adriatic Basin onshore and offshore).
  • Projected 10 exploratory wells (drilled 10 deep wells, discovered 2 new oil fields)
  • Accomplished 16 regional geological – geophysical studies for HC prospect evaluation.

Explorationist, Major Exploration Co                  1991 to 1993

  • Seismic and geologic data interpretation – Offshore (Adriatic Basin), new prospects evaluation. Drilled one exploratory well.
