WELL CONTROL SPECIALIST JOBS

Houston, Texas

Leading Energy Company is seeking an experienced Well Control Specialist to join their global organization in Houston, Texas.  In this key role, you will use your expertise developing standards for the organization, provide expertise and consultive role during all phases of drilling.  You will be the go to person for evaluating well control simulations and provide guidance on all Manage Pressure Drillings.  As the consummate specialist you will coordinate with all rig contractors and outside consultants.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.  A Master’s degree is highly preferred.  At least ten (10) years of significant drilling completion experience with an expertise in well control.  Expertise in Well Control simulation software as well as all MS Office products required. Our client, a global upstream services leader, is seeking an experienced Manager Reservoir Engineering.  In this key management role, you will assist in leading the organization in the development and practical application solutions for their Intelligent Reservoir System. You will interface with the company’s marketing area and directly with customers to understand their needs and how the company’s solutions will meet their needs.  Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are required as interaction will all levels of management, customers, and governmental offices both internationally and domestic will be involved.

The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of upstream experience with operations experience preferred.  Extensive knowledge and experience with down hole tools, reservoir systems, well systems and related technologies.  A background in reservoir, production and completions is preferred.  Bachelors degree required an advanced degree is highly preferred.

SENIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEERING CONSULTANT

Our client, a global upstream services leader, is seeking an experience Senior Reservoir Engineering Consultant to join their Houston office.  In this key consultative role you will be responsible for various projects involving, reservoir performance analysis, field development planning, reserves estimation and auditing. In addition, you will be involved in various reservoir engineering studies employing various, cutting edge techniques.  These may involve decline curve analysis, reservoir simulation, well test analysis, material balance, PVT, EOR, CO2, SCAL data analysis, and various other unconventional methods.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communications skills for organizing, planning and presentation skills.  Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineer and at least 10 years of applicable experience is required.  An advanced degree, Master’s or PhD is highly preferred.

In this key advisory role, you be responsible for multi-discipline projects using your extensive oil and gas engineering experience.  Projects will include field development planning, asset management, well modeling, artificial lift studies, production chemistry, completion/sand control design, flow assurance, reservoir engineering and well test analysis. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical skills in Production Technology and in advanced project management skills.  Superior communication skills, both written and verbal coupled with excellent platform presentation skills are required. 
 
Educational Requirements:
 
Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent with at least 15 years similar work experience, Master’s Degree with at least 14 years similar  work experience or PhD with and at least 13 years similar work experience.

Senior Reservoir Engineer Financial Reserves Jobs in Houston Texas

SENIOR RESERVIOR ENGINEER FINANCIAL RESERVES 

TOTAL COMPENSATION UP TO $280K

Our client, a major financial firm is searching for an additional experienced Reservoir Engineer to support their financial functions relating to reserves lending. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a major solid global financial institution that has a long established presence in the Energy industry.

In this key role, you will be responsible for performing technical analysis of upstream investment opportunities.  You will evaluate oil and gas reserves, systems, pipelines and markets in order to support lending and investment decisions. You will work on various projects where your experience in the operational side of Reservoir Engineering will have prepared you to quantify reserves, economic potential, identify reservoir, operational and commercial risk. 

You must have a true passion for Reservoir Engineering coupled with extensive operational experience.   Must be able to write and present conclusions effectively with senior management of the bank, its customers, other bankers and outside representatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Reservoir Engineering background which includes extensive experience in onshore basin operations, strong experience of reserves, economic evaluations and acquisitions.  Additionally, the ideal candidate have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MBA preferred, at least 8-10 yrs of experience in U.S. petroleum reservoir engineering of which at least five should be in reserve evaluations.
 
You should have been with an upstream E&P company working as a reservoir engineer or M&A consultant or in a leading financial institution. Would prefer some financial background if possible, but work with reservoir engineering consultants or M&A firms will be considered. Must be well versed in Office Software programs, especially Excel, as well as Aries and PhD Win reserve programs.
