WELL CONTROL SPECIALIST JOBS

Leading Energy Company is seeking an experienced Well Control Specialist to join their global organization in Houston, Texas.  In this key role, you will use your expertise developing standards for the organization, provide expertise and consultive role during all phases of drilling.  You will be the go to person for evaluating well control simulations and provide guidance on all Manage Pressure Drillings.  As the consummate specialist you will coordinate with all rig contractors and outside consultants.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.  A Master’s degree is highly preferred.  At least ten (10) years of significant drilling completion experience with an expertise in well control.  Expertise in Well Control simulation software as well as all MS Office products required. As a key member of the reservoir management team, you will use your experience and skills to enhance

You must have specialized experience in ESP operations.

You will contribute to the field operations staff in the design, analysis and optimization of

the entire ESP lift system.

To qualify for this opportunity you must have a minimum of a BS degree in Engineer

(advanced degree preferred), at least five (5) years of production and operations engineering experience.

Full knowledge in all areas of drilling, reservoir and production operations and the ability to design,

diagnose, measure and control the operation of ESP lift systems.

Previous experience with management and administration as well as the design and

Our client, an outstanding oil and gas company is seeking and experience Senior Operations Engineer for the Dallas office due to expansion of CO2 interests.  You will being working with the C02 fields and acquisitions.  In the key role, you will perform operations engineering duties and prepare capital budget/development plans.  You will recommend ways to optimize profits while lowing operations cost.  In this position, you will be required to travel within the Gulf Coast region and on occasion outside this area. 

To qualify for this position you must have at least 5 years of prior applicable experience and have a BS in Engineering with a preference in Petroleum Engineering.

Senior Geologist Jobs Southern California

Our client, a major oil and gas firm is seeking a Senior Geologist for their California office.  Located just minutes from the beautiful beaches of Southern California, south of Los Angeles, this position is accountable for supporting the ongoing development and reservoir description efforts one of their key fields.  You will maintain and improve the geologic understanding of the field, identify additional reserves, and improve recovery from a challenging reservoir.   Your essential duties will  include geological mapping, reservoir description, identification of development drilling and workover/recompletion opportunities, wellsite geo-steering support, and reserve determinations.  This key position will give you the opportunity to proactively participate in reservoir study and simulation teams, and annual reserves reviews.  Excellent communications skills both verbal and written are required.

 

 

To qualify for this great opportunity, you must possess at a minimum: *  Bachelor’s of Science degree in Geology required, Master’s degree in Geology highly preferred.

*  At least eight (8) or more years of experience in oil and gas field exploitation with a proven track record of  identifying development opportunities and bypassed oil in a mature waterflood.

*  Experience in reservoir characterization and flow unit modeling of a challenging reservoir.


*  Strong workstation skills with experience in Landmark products (Openworks, Stratworks, Zmap, Seisworks, etc.) and Petrel or similar 3D geologic modeling software.

*  Working knowledge of petrophysics and open-hole log interpretation.
